Ian Brown is a Registered Massage Therapist at Active Sports Therapy. Ian completed his 3000 hour training course at Makami College and has a background in kinesiology from the University of Calgary. With a particular interest in the facial system Ian sees the benefit in employing myofascial release to ensure the maximum benefit of the massage.
With over three years working as a clinic assistant at Active Sports Therapy Ian is well versed in many types of injuries from his time working alongside chiropractors and physiotherapists helping people to recover from injuries employing some of the latest techniques like low-intensity laser therapy.
With an athletic background, Ian understands the importance of keeping your body functioning to the best of its ability. That coupled with his drive to help people has brought Ian into his chosen field. A former hockey player who grew up in Calgary, he's now enjoying taking the reigns as a youth hockey coach with the Calgary Southside Hockey association.
