Dr. Gayle Maguire is a naturopathic doctor who has dedicated her career to hormones, endocrine disorders, stress, and pain. She completed 3 years of Honours Organic Chemistry before switching to Biochemistry at the University of Manitoba. She completed another 4 years of study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto to become a naturopathic doctor in 2006.
Dr. Maguire has wanted to practice medicine since she was a teenager. This is when naturopathic medicine first helped her father and appealed to her sense of logic. What is your body trying to tell you? What is not working well enough? What is off balance? What are natural ways to bring your body back into balance? Each patient is a puzzle and naturopathic medicine has so many ways to help. It is an honour to see patients finally feel heard and empowered in health, and increase their functioning, whether it be more energy for playing with grandchildren, recovering after injury or childbirth, or finally feeling relief of pain.
Dr. Maguire provides a unique and individualized treatment for patients looking for healthcare tailored to them. This ranges from patients looking for ideas to complement their existing healthcare, to those looking for alternative methods of attaining wellness. Dr. Gayle has also taught medical sciences for many years at the Canadian Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Calgary. She has advanced training in prolotherapy, fertility, reiki, craniosacral, cosmetic acupuncture, and environmental medicine. Through her volunteer work, she has counseling and crisis intervention training. She is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. When not cooped up indoors doing the job she loves, she is outside with her daughters, gardening, or playing soccer.
