Dr. Fiona Lovely is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic and the Founder and Clinical Director of Calgary Brain + Spine - serving the public high quality healthcare since 2006.

Dr. Lovely has a functional approach to all aspects of health. As a Chiropractor, she works to balance the neuromusculoskeletal system using gentle but effective techniques for adjusting the spine and joints back to health.

Dr. Lovely uses a functional medicine model when treating patients suffering from a variety of conditions whether hormonal, autoimmune, neurodegenerative, digestive, chronic pain and others. Her approach is unique in the current health care trends - she looks for the things which are causing the interference to the body’s own innate ability to heal. That might include: stress, food sensitivities, genetic dispositions, mental blockages, musculoskeletal dysfunction and more. You might say her philosophy to health is deductive before additive!

Using keen observation, innovative laboratory diagnostics and comprehensive history taking and exam, she gets to the root cause of the dysfunction. Optimization of the biochemical, structural, metabolic and hormonal systems is what we strive for and this is the functional medicine approach. Functional medicine means finding the root cause, the how and why - the deep-seated connections to your current health status.

Dr. Fiona Lovely is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors. She graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa - the birthplace of the chiropractic profession. She has studied restorative endocrinology and functional medicine extensively, focusing her interests on the safe and peaceful passage of peri-menopause for women. She has been fortunate enough to have studied with the best in the field of functional neurology (often called Chiropractic Neurology), spending thousands of hours learning about the structure and function of the brain. She works primarily with the rehabilitation of mild traumatic brain injury (concussion) and the neurodegeneration that can occur with aging.

Dr. Lovely has a popular podcast for women on the emotional and physical aspects of health specifically around mid-life and menopause.

Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Dr. Lovely has spent time living in Toronto, Iowa and Boulder, Colorado before settling in Calgary. She is a beach combing, daydreaming, yoga loving, star gazing, hippie at heart. She lives for the serene times out of the city with her husband Aaron, travelling and experiencing new things. She is an admirer of the absurd, an epicurean, an amateur sommelier and a hack golfer.

  • I love this place! It doesn't matter what I come in with, they are able to help me and my entire family. I have 2 children, ages 5 and 7, and Dr. Jennifer Teasdale is absolutely a delight to deal with, and both my kids are excited to see her. There hasn't been a problem they haven't been able to help with. Highly recommend this place!

  • I have been seeing Dr, Finan for Chiropractic Treatment and Michelle for Physiotherapy for over 10 years with AST. They are always kind and informative, they really care about your health and well-being and they do whatever it takes to get you there. Both are so patient and they never address your symptoms without some education to go along with why you might feel the way to do and what you can do to help the process.
